Lynx Gas Grills
Lynx Gas Grills
Lynx is to gas grills what Porsche is to cars. Lynx gas grills are the high-end line for the ultimate in chic outdoor cooking. Lynx began in 1996 as the outdoor branch of the BECA line of professional commercial cooking equipment. They took many of the same features from their commercial grade products and adapted them for the needs of outdoor chefs. This helped ensure superior durability and product performance. Over the years Lynx gas grills have incorporated the latest cooking technology so they are the industry leaders in innovation.
Lynx gas grills are available in five different models–27, 30, 36, 42 and 54 inches–and are available in both built-in and freestanding models and use your choice of liquid propane or natural gas for fuel. The freestanding models all come with carts that feature removable fold-down shelves that are reversible for use as serving trays. The welded steel cart is supported by four or six commercial casters, depending on the model, and is fronted by heavy-duty swing out doors with magnetic latches or smooth moving drawers.

All Lynx gas grills, regardless of the model, possess the same innovative features. Instead of hollow stainless steel burners Lynx uses brass alloy cast burners to maximize heat retention and generate even heat, even in windy conditions. Each burner produces 25000 BTUs. Durable clipped-in ceramic briquettes enhance the heat distribution qualities of the burners. The design of the grill stabilizes the heat by deflecting wind and allowing for efficient venting, so the grill temperature stays consistent when the lid is down. The 40-pound lid can be opened and closed with a finger thanks to the Lynx Hood Assist Kit. Illuminated controls and the halogen grill surface light, along with the temperature gauge, means that you can achieve perfect results every time you grill. Stainless steel grilling grates and a large capacity removable smoker box round out the basic package.
Optional features include an internal rotisserie with a three-speed motor, as well as a ProSear infrared burner. Lynx gas grills are unique in that its infrared burner has a variable temperature control instead of an on-off switch, which makes it perfect for broiling nearly any food. Single and double side burners as well as side ProSear burners are available for both the built-in and freestanding models.
In addition to grills Lynx offers a full line of products to create a complete outdoor kitchen including warming trays refrigerators beverage dispensers ice machines vent hoods cocktail stations and patio heaters.
Lynx gas grills are state-of-the-art, and carry an appropriate price tag. The basic built-in 27-inch gas grill starts at around $2900 with the cart adding nearly $1000 to the price of a freestanding model. An optional rotisserie increases the price by about $700 and a rotisserie and ProSear combo bump it up by around $1000. Add-on single and double side burners start at about $900 and $1200 respectively for built-in models with an additional $200-300 for freestanding models. A fully loaded 54-inch freestanding model will cost you about $13,000 to $14,000.
